Nice As Fuck recently debuted live on the Colbert Show earlier this week, and now has released a new video for “Door” off of their first self-titled debut album that released earlier this year.
The supergroup of members Jenny Lewis, Erika Forster of Au Revoir Simone, and Tennessee Thomas of The Like’s find themselves takin over a store and rocking out in the storefront window. The video begins with a close shot of a newspaper with the announcement “Dead End Club Closing?”. The video then takes us to the Dead End Club where the landlord is breaking the news that he is shutting it down. At this point madness erupts and the girls start giving a live performance, and eventually also take over the streets.
The video is reportedly based on a real story and the girl have made a statement regarding it via COS, “Here’s the video for ‘Door’ filmed in the Deep End Club, where the songs were written, surrounded by members of our activated community. The Deep End Club closes its ‘Door’ this weekend after three years, but its message of Peace & Love will continue on in many forms”.
The bands debut album Nice As Fuck has a awesome sound with its bass notes, subtle vocals, and drums from Thomas. Watch the video for “Door” below.
