LISTEN: Ryan Adams Covers Black Sabbath and Slayer at Newport Folk Festival

This past Saturday, Ryan Adams took to the stage at the Newport Folk Festival. During his set, Adams surprised fans with bluegrass covers of Slayer’s “South of Heaven” as well as Black Sabbath’s “The Wizard”. He performed alongside Nicki Bluhm and the Infamous Stringdusters. Adams is no stranger to bizarre covers. He has covered a wide array of artists including Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Madonna, the Smiths and Iron Maiden.
