WORMROT Announces New Album Voices For October 2016 Release And Shares New Song “Fallen Into Disuse”

Singaporean grindcore band WORMROT have announced today, that after long wait, they will be releasing a brand new studio album entitled Voices on October 14th of this year. It has taken the trio five years and countless amounts of efforts to put together this 20-song collection, returning with a new drummer but the same intensity that the group showcased in their 2011 Dirge and 2009 Abuse albums. The album will be released worldwide, and will be available on limited signed CD or vinyl, as well as regular CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

The band will be introducing a new member with the new album, due to the departure of founding member Firti, the group was forced to find a different drummer to replace him. They got lucky when they landed their newest member Vijesh, who bring a fresh sound that is fitting to one of the most original bands on the scene since its inception. With help from the godlike grind riffage of guitarist Rasyid, and the distinct vocal shifts of singer Arif. that seem to jump seamlessly between guttural growls and rasping scream. “It’s been way too long; it’s finally the right time to do this. We’re thrilled to finally release our most heartfelt album to date.” comment’s Rasyid.

This third new album goes above and beyond expectation for this group, who already seem like they can do no wrong. In order to help promote the upcoming masterpiece, WORMROT has chosen to release a teaser featuring a full length track off the album.

The teaser features a sort of toying with the viewers mind. The video opens up with a warning, and goes into a optical illusion trick which features patters shifting in specific positions which when stared at for a significant period of time can cause mild visual distortions, making it seem as if you are hallucinating, then leading into a photo of the album cover and a preview from one of their tracks.

The new material indicates big things to come from this grind-heavy screamo band from Singapore.
