Katy Goodman and Greta Morgan have just released the video for their cover of the Gun Club’s “Sex Beat”. The video was directed by Morgan and features the duo recording the track at CompNY Studio in Los Angeles. The track is one of ten songs on the duo’s new album of covers Take It, It’s Yours. The record will also include the pair’s previously released cover of The Replacements’ “Bastards of Young”.
Goodman, of La Sera, played bass and sang on the record while Morgan, of Springtime Carnivore, played guitar, keys, and drums. Earlier this year, La Sera released their single “I Need an Angle”. The La Sera duo is comprised of Goodman and her husband Todd Wisenbaker.
The record of punk and new wave covers is out on August 26 on Polyvinyl Records. Check out the full tracklist below.
