If one metal band can create energy so infectious that audiences can’t help but react with head banging and large-scale mosh pits, imagine, what could two metal bands do? The eccentric Swedish metal band Meshuggah announced they would be teaming up with High on Fire to go on a two month North American Tour. In an epic heavy metal mashup, High on Fire will be performing songs from last years album ” Luminiferous ” while Meshuggah will be promoting their upcoming 25th Anniversary Box-Set which is scheduled to come out July 29th via Nuclear Blast.
The bands will start off the tour in Atlanta, Georgia in October at the Tabernacle and will be ending in Silver Spring, Maryland at the Fillmore. Check below for the complete tour date and venue list.
Meshuggah was formed in 1987 and gained it’s popularity in 1995 with the release of “Destroy Erase Improve.” Since then, the band has become a huge underground success being dubbed one of the ten most important heavy metal and rock bands by Rolling Stone Magazine.
High on Fire is a band formed in Oakland, California in 1998 and has released seven studio albums with the most recent being Luminiferous. Dan Epstein, a Rolling Stones Magazine writer called it their “finest album yet.”
The Meshuggah and High On Fire both performed at Kirk Von Hammett’s Fear Festival in 2015 and here is the chance to catch them perform together, headlining their own tour.
