English Hip-Hop recording artist, M.I.A. is on the verge of leaking her fifth, forthcoming album,and it may happen any day now. At least we hope it does.
The urge to leak her new album dated all the way back in May, when she previewed her track “Finally”. During the showcase of her song, the young artist commented “I would love to leak it. I wake up every day and think I’m gonna leak it.” However, at this time keeping her labels consideration was of great importance.
But how the tables have turned. This morning M.I.A. tweeted that she was on the verge of leaking the album, claiming that American artists had stolen ideas from the record. She had announced a few months ago that this album would be released sometime in July.
With this news in the mix, M.I.A has made it clear that this will be the last LP she will be releasing with her American label. These past few months M.I.A. has been a tease in regards to her music. Her song “Re-wear it” was heard by listeners through an H&M label. Her latest song “POC THAT STILL A RYDA” was released, but was shortly taken off of YouTube by UMG. Besides her new music, M.I.A. has had the opportunity to perform at Pitchfork’s music festival
