LCD Soundsystem is curating and will headline two nights of a three-day festival, called Beach Vibes, from January 26-28, 2017.
Frontman of LCD Soundsystem announced earlier this year his feeling of reuniting the band, working on a new album and a 2016 tour. In the meantime the band has been keeping busy with festivals including the well-known musical gatherings such as Bonnaroo and Glastonbury. Later this years they will make appearances at a string of festivals including: Lollapalooza, Fyf festival, Austin City Limit, and ending with Beach Vibes.
The inaugural Beach Vibes music festival will take place on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mexican Caribbean, located at the coastline of Mexico’s northeastern Yucatán Peninsula, Riviera Maya, Mexico.
During the day festival goers will be able to split their time between day trips, pool parties, ATV tours, zip-lining, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and other local adventures. And at night enjoy live music alongside the beach at Playa Azul Beach Club, giving the ultimate, Beach Vibe.
Tickets will be available for purchase here July 11 at 1 PM EDT.
Also set to play the event are British electronic band, Hot Chip, who have had quite the summer with touring nonstop.
Run the Jewels, also headlining, have been working on new material lately. Recently eamingt up with DJ Shadow on his upcoming record, The Mountain Will Fall. Like the previous headliners mentioned, Run the Jewels, will tour the next few months from one festival to the next. In more exciting news, the rap duo plan to release a new album in 2016.
