This past Thursday, the Coathangers released the video for their song “Down Down”.  The track comes from their album Nosebleed Weekend, which was released in April by Suicide Squeeze Records.  This is the Atlanta based punk band’s fifth studio album since their inception ten years ago.

Singer Julia Kugel told NYLON “The concept and styling of the video is a nod to the amazing ‘girl groups’ of the ’60s”.  The video, directed by Matt Odom, was the group’s response to being labeled as a “girl band” and not just a “band”.
