Jenn Wasner Signs Deal With Partisan Records As Flock Of Dimes And Reveals Signature Guitar

Jenn Wasner has just announced on Twitter that her first Flock of Dimes album will be released by Partisan Records later this year.  The Wye Oak member has been releasing songs under the name Flock of Dimes for a while now, but has yet to release a full length album, that is until now.

Wasner and friend Andy Stack formed Wye Oak in Baltimore and released album Civilian in 2011.  In 2012, Wasner started working on solo project Flock of Dimes.  A year later she started working on another project, Dungeonesse, with John Ehrens of White Life.  Wye oak will also be releasing an album later this year.

There is no set date yet for the release, but Wasner did tweet a 20 second teaser of what is to come.

In addition to the big album announcement, Wasner introduced her signature Reverend guitar.  The guitar is covered in the “Optic Interruption” pattern that was designed for her by textile artist April Camlin.  She also published an essay about guitars on medium.
