BadBadNotGood, the Toronto-based electronic indie jazz group, has just released a new song entitled “Lavender.”
BadBadNotGood are no strangers to collaborating with other well-established artists. They have been known to work with some top performing artists like Ghostface Killah, Kaytranada and Sam Herring of Future Islands, among several others. This time around, they have reprised their role as collaborators with Kaytranada, the Hatian-Canadian electronic musician.
The song contains BadBadNotGood’s signature jazzy indie rock feel. However, with Kaytranada in the mix, it also creates a really great and unique sound that has influences of Kaytranada’s own slick beats.
The song comes off of BadBadNotGood’s forthcoming album IV, which is set to be released later this summer on July 8th via Innovative Leisure. IV will be the band’s fourth album, not counting their collab album Sour Soul which they worked with Ghostface Killah.
Take a listen to the incredibly cool “Lavender” below and don’t forget to pick up a copy of BadBadNotGood’s new album when it drops later this summer.
