In 1991 Perry Farrell started a music festival that brought together a wide variety of artists from a number of musical genres. This festival, so fondly known as Lollapalooza, started out as a touring festival, and has grown over its 25 years of existence. Lolla, as many fans call it, was the first festival to travel, go for more than one day, have more than one stage, and so many more firsts.
Making stops from Chicago to Brazil, the music fest continues to expand its musical reach. It has recently been announced that Lolla will make a pit stop in Bogota, Colombia. This is the first time Lollapalooza has been in Colombia, and it will feature 40 artists.
Taking place on September 17 and 18, the music fest will call Simon Bolivar Park its home for the two days. The festival will continue in true Lollapalooza tradition, and will feature local food options. According to the website, all three early bird phases have been sold out.
Currently, presale options are available under certain stipulations. Fans can download an access code, Aval Pay can be used, and certain debit and credit cards can be used to purchase tickets. There are a limited number of tickets for sale under these regulations.
The website also states tickets under Stage 1 will be on sale after the line-up has been officially announced. Once all of the tickets are sold out in these phases, Stage 2 tickets will go on sale. Again, a certain number of tickets are available in each stage.
