Recently reunited band, Failure, has announced tour dates to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their third studio album, Fantastic Planet.
This group had reached their climax on the 1990’s with the release of their albums Comfort (1992), Magnified (1994), and Fantastic Planet (1996). Unfortunately, these albums were unable to clench a top spot on the music charts, and in 1997 the band split up.
It was not until February 2014 when the world was introduced to Failure once again. Playing at the El Rey theatre, the band played a near perfect setlist, and the crowds were raging once again. The world had finally caught up with Failure. New millennial have come to describe Fantastic Planet as a “classic”, and has been equated to to bands such as Paramore, Tool, and Cave In.
Playing nostalgic shows was not cutting it for the band, and they decided to hit the studio once again. In June 2015, the band releases their fifth studio album, The Heart is a Monster at Amoeba Records in Hollywood California. This masterpiece follows a different theme than Fantastic Planet for it focused on the variating emotions and moods that consume human life. Fantastic Planet highlighted the theme of outer space.
