Blind Pilot @ Union Transfer 9/19

Portland-based indie folk group Blind Pilot comes to Philadelphia this September.  The band’s tour will promote highlight their latest album, And Then Like Lions, out August 12th.  Known for delicate lyrics and mellow instrumentation, Blind Pilot draws listeners into their songs’ stories.

One word sums up Blind Pilot perfectly: honest.  In their debut LP, 3 Rounds and a Sound, songwriter Israel Nebeker lays himself bare with quirky yet powerful lyrics.  In Oviedo, Nebeker croons, “four times is once too much for luck, and that’s how many times the clock struck/I wandered home saying your name”.  Blind Pilots songs emotionally resonate in their relatability.

September’s show will take place at Union Transfer, a staple venue in the Philadelphia music scene.  For fans of bands such as Iron and Wine or the Shins, Blind Pilot is a great addition to your indie folk repetoire.  Be sure to buy tickets ASAP – this is not a show to miss.
