Indie folk rock sensation Bon Iver has just released via Pitchfork live video footage from his recent “Cercle” shows that he played at the Sydney Opera House.
Vivid LIVE at Sydney Opera House is a celebration of ambitious popular music within the city’s annual Vivid Sydney festival of light, music and ideas. Vivid LIVE is the highlight of Sydney Opera House’s year-round contemporary music program. As part of Sydney Opera House’s VIVID Live series, which is running from 27 May – 13 June 2016, it most recently featured the popular folk band Bon Iver, known for their calming vocals and smooth instrumentals.
Delivering a four-night series of special performances, Bon Iver performed a memorable series of sets, and after phone footage had surfaced from the “Cercle” show, VIVID decided to share professional footage they show to three different songs.
Justin Vernon, frontman, and the rest of the band perform “Creature Fear” a slow jam the band has, followed by a gorgeous “Heavenly Father”, and ending in their famous track “Michicant”, which can bring even the strongest man to tears with a mind blowing saxophone solo.
Playing recently a series of shows in Asia, Bon Iver will continue their tour, and will once again headline Eaux Claires Music Festival, Curated by Vernon himself.
