NYPD Shuts Down Secret Kanye West Club Show

Kanye West’s secret show can cancelled in New York due to “near riots” last night.

The cancellation of the Governor’s Ball prompted many artists like Kanye West to book makeup shows at New York’s array of venues. At about 2 a.m., rumors spread that West was going to perform at Webster Hall. The sad part is that the rumor was far from true. The performance never happened, but the hype sent The Life of Pablo fans flocking to the scene.

It was not long until NYPD had to interfere. Trampling others and climbing over cars, this mass of people took over the entirety of 11th street. A group of people had now evolved into a raging crowd that hindered a semi-truck from getting to its intended destination.

Trying to disperse the crowd, West paradoxically tweeted the show was sold out, even though it was free. Minutes later Webster’s Hall official twitter account tweeted that there was no show, prompting the fans to get home safely.

However, Kanye tried to keep the party going. Calling Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York, Kanye requested that the entire block be shut down, and screens be set up to have a party. It is no surprise that West’s inquiry was not carried out, but at least he tried.

Despite the bad news, West took the initiative to arrive at the venue;however, he was a bit too late, arriving 20 minutes after the NYPD and Webster Hall announced the show was cancelled. There were some loyal fans, who decided to stick around. Driving on scene, West took the initiative to show himself to his fans, peeking through the sunroof of his car.

These past months have been a rollercoaster of emotions for West. A few weeks go his personal studio was robbed, and two months ago he faced legal issues regarding The Life of Pablo. Moreover, West has not let these events rob him of his muses. He just released new song titled “Round & Round” and has been featured on ScHoolboy Q’s “THat Part”.
