Death Grips have released a new song titled “More Than The Fairy,” featuring Primus’s Les Claypool. The band is infamous for their unusual features as much as their on-again-off-again status.
Claypool provides the bass for the blistering track.
Death Grips aren’t strangers to recruiting big names to collaborate with. Some names in the past include, Björk-as-instrument on Niggas on the Moon, Charles Manson on “Beware,” and many more.
“More Than The Fairy” follows the release of Death Grips latest album, Bottomless Pit.
The experimental hip-hop and punk rock group “broke up” in 2014 following the release of three critically acclaimed albums. However, in March of 2015 the group announced that they would be working on new music and announced a world tour shortly after. Later that year they announced the release of their fifth studio album, Bottomless Pit, which was released earlier this month.
Primus has had some band issues in their past as well. The band went on a hiatus of their own for a few years in the early 2000’s following the release of three critically acclaimed albums. Primus then came back and haven’t released anything since 2014’s Primus and the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble.
