Steez Day festival has announced it’s lineup including Joey Badass, A$AP Mob, Danny Brown, and many more. The festival will take place at the Novo by Microsoft theater in Los Angeles on July 7.
Joey Badass started the Steez Day festival last year in honor of his late friend and fellow rapper Captain Steez. All proceeds from the festival will be donated to Steez’s family, according to festival organizers.
The festival took place in Central Park last year as part of New York’s City’s Summerstage concert series.
Tickets went on sale on Friday, May 20, on the Pro Era website.
Badass himself and his Pro Era crew (CJ Fly, Nyck Caution, and Kirk Knight) will be performing at the festival.Other artists announced include A$AP Mob, Danny Brown, Raury, among others that are still set to be announced.
According to Spin, “Steez was considered to be the founder of the Pro Era crew and integral to the development of satellite acts such as festival-circuit favorites Flatbush Zombies.”
Badass and the A$AP Mob have shared the stage before earlier this year. The Mob threw a concert for the one-year anniversary of their late friend A$AP Yams. They marked it “Yams Day” where the artists celebrated his life and music.
Earlier this month the Mob released the video for “Yamborghini High,” off of A$AP Rocky’s latest release, At.Long.Last.A$AP, where they continued to celebrate the life of their late friend and founder.
