Break out the electric disco dance moves because Omaha band The Faint will tour with the ever-morphing post-punk band Gang of Four across North America this year. The Faint just released a new dance track, “Young & Realistic”, which carries a vital energy that is sure to get a dance floor mobile.
Singer Todd Fink, told Stereogum yesterday about the tune, “We wrote, recorded, and mixed it ourselves here at our studio in Omaha, Nebraska. Pretty song-y for club music and pretty clubby for indie/punk, this one falls right in the sweet spot.” This Goldilocks zone tune may be just the tonic for the upcoming tour.
The duo will reach such notable venues as Webster Hall, New York, First Avenue, Minneapolis, Regency Ballroom, San Francisco and The Mayan Theater in Los Angeles.
