Big Business, the stoner metal/sludge metal band from Seattle, WA, have just announced earlier today that they will be releasing a brand new studio album at the beginning of the summer. Command Your Weather, set to hit the public on July 8th, is the fifth studio album to be released by Big Business, it will be co-released between Joyful Noise Recordings and Gold Metal Records, the band’s very own label. It will be released on all formats, with special edition gold colored vinyl option, as well as VIP editions on clear and gold vinyl.
Returning to their roots with the original two-man lineup for the group, both of whom are current members of The Melvins, bassist and lead vocalist Jarred Warren, who originally was a member of the band KARP, comes together again with drummer and backing vocalist Coady Willis, who originally a member of The Murder City Devils and his all-drumming side project Hew Time, to bring back the original sound of what gave fans the initial love for the group.
The duo have spent the last 13 years creating music together and touring all over the world, making head banging songs that hits the listener face first with thrashing music that would make the tamest person want to mosh. Command Your Weather, which was recorded in Joshua Tree, CA, has a song list that really can get a person thinking about the struggle of dominance of will over power and unpredictability of nature, or about the fact that each track is nothing short of an epic rock song, to each their own.
The band has chosen to release the lead single of the album “Father’s Day” in order to excite fans and give them a preview of their upcoming work.
In addition, the band has also released a full Summer tour, where they will go from coast to coast supporting their new album with some epic, head banging shows.
