Flume @ The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jack Gleason Theatre 9/10

Flume has made been making waves ever since the release of his hit single “Sleepless” in 2011. The Australian electronic musician has been active since 2008. The release of his self-titled album Flume in 2012 only served to increase his popularity and goad copycats into trying to emulate his sound.

Flume’s style of chill electronica infused with trip hop has taken mainstream audiences by storm. Flume’s style is now the one that is popular with everyone in the EDM game. He is just coming off of his major release of 2016, his new album Skin, which is being promoted on this tour. Here is a link to his most famous song “Sleepless”. You can also do some more listening on his soundcloud page.

Flume will be joined by Hermitude who are a fellow Australian EDM duo. They mix rapping into their EDM style production to create a unique and hyped up sound. They are set to take the iconic Fillmore by storm. One word of advice though, the venue has a large standing area in front of the stage where everyone who doesn’t buy upper seat tickets goes. This area fills up on a first come first serve basis so if you want to be closer to the stage come earlier.

Henry Ehlebracht: I am an NYU student from Miami who loves writing. I am a dual major in Philosophy and Journalism and I'd love to share my thoughts on music with you. My two favorite music genres are definitely hip hop and electronic/dance, but I'm really open to anything that piques my interest. I'm currently in New York for school. Electronic album reviewer for MXDWN. Although I write about music for the website, my media interests stretch into many areas including movies and video games.
