Iconic thrash rock band Slayer will be taking a breather from their extensive tour schedule appear at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego. The group is heading to the West Coast to perform a small show before engaging with fans at the convention.
The group’s small-scale show will take place at the well-renown House of Blues on July 21. Fans unable to catch them at this gig can meet Slayer the following day at a pair of Comic-Con signings. Find the guys at booths No. 2615 and Nuclear Blast Records booth No. 501.
According to Loudwire, Slayer will bring the band’s ‘Cradle to Grave’ line of BMX bicycles, thanks to their partnership with Subrosa. The band members grew up with a passion for biking. “We built a figure-eight track with ramps in my backyard where we would race and crash into each other. It was a precursor to BMX. We would go around the neighborhood to collect bikes that people had thrown away to salvage them, so it’s cool to see Subrosa building a line of Slayer bikes.” said frontman Tom Araya.
The shows will come from the band after 7 weeks of thrashing about Europe on an international tour. Tickets for the House of Blues show will go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10 AM, Pacific Time. You can buy tickets for the show here. Find full ticketing information about the band’s Repentless tour on Slayer’s website. The band plans to tour North America again in September, with rock peers Anthrax and Death Angel.
