Hop Along & Waxahatchee @ Union Transfer 6/3

Everyone’s favorite Philadelphia Eagle has announced the third installment of his Make The World Better Foundation’s benefit concert. The event will again be held at Union Transfer, and this year offers a double dose of Philly talent with Waxahatchee and Hop Along topping the bill. There is also a special guest which has yet to be announced. The event goes down on June 3rd. Grab your tickets now to support this great cause!

A statement from Barwin’s foundation explains, “Every dollar from this year’s concert (both bar and ticket sales) will be matched by MTWB and donated to a project in Philadelphia which will be announced at the concert.” Last year’s event raised $300,000 towards revitalizing Smith Playground, a figure which was almost double the amount raised in 2014.

If you feel inclined to really give back, the event offers several VIP ticket options, which include an open bar and BBQ (with food from some of Philly’s greatest chefs, Marc Vetri and Kevin Sbraga), as well as a meet and great with some of Barwin’s teammates.

Past shows have featured stand-out performances from Kurt Vile and the Violators, The Districts, Marian Hill, Mac Demarco, The Suffers, and Parquet Courts.
