British pop star, Charli XCX, has just released her new song, “Explode.”

Interestingly enough, the song comes from the soundtrack for the new Angry Birds movie. Fittingly, the song shares the movie’s fun and digital vibe.

The song sits at just under four minutes. It’s an energetic song that will have anyone up and dancing. It comes just weeks after her last release, Vroom Vroom, a four-track EP. In fact, just recently she released a music video for the title track, “Vroom Vroom.”

The song shares the same dance pop sound that she is known for, but it is a little more family friendly. The Angry Birds soundtrack features a wide array of musical guests, from Blake Shelton and Imagine Dragons, to Demi Lovato and Rick Astley.

Charli XCX, born Charlotte Emma Aitchison in 1992 in Cambridge, England, started playing music and writing songs at a young age. In 2013, she released her debut album, and has released two albums in total. She is also well known for contributing to Icona Pop’s hit “I Love It.”

Take a listen to the song below.
