Teen has just announced via twitter that they will be going on to tour with Wye Oak this Summer.

In a Twitter post Teen made the announcement that they will be accompanying Wye Oak on their Summer 2016 tour that is set to kick off on June 16.

This group of ladies have released five albums including three LPs and two EPs since their formation. Most uniquely known as being consisted of mostly sisters, the band consists of Kristina “Teeny” Lieberson, former keyboardist for the Brooklyn band Here We Go Magic, her two sisters Katherine and Lizzie, and Boshra AlSaadi. The Lieberson sisters are daughters of noted composer Peter Lieberson. Although the band was formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2010 the sisters are originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Wye Oak shared their equal excitement in twitter post for the sisters of Teen to join them on tour.

The American indie rock duo has released four studio albums since they have been together including their latest release, Shriek, back in 2014. The duo consists of Andy Stack, drums, keyboards and backup vocals, and Jenn Wasner, guitar, lead vocals, and bass. Their band name is a tribute to the former Maryland state tree, while the band originated from Baltimore.

The two groups will begin their tour at The Ballroom at The Outer Space in Hamden, Connecticut on the 16 and from there the tour will take them to various parts of North America. These different stops include shows in major cities such as Boston, Atlanta, Seattle, Chicago, Toronto and Dallas. The tour will wrap up on the 11 of August in Austin Texas at The Mohawk. Although this is not an extensive tour fans can be assured of a great show from these two bands. Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
