New video for new music from Wye Oak. The Baltimore indie outfit just released Shriek, their fourth studio album. “Glory” now comes complete with ice cream cones, gold beads, and enough symbolism to keep a room full of English majors busy for weeks.
Busy days for Wye Oak. The duo recently appeared at Coachella, and have a full touring schedule ahead of them. All in support of Shriek – the album hit the ground just a few days ago, and has already raked in more than its fair share of critical acclaim. “Glory” is the second music video to come out of the release, with “The Tower” getting the full treatment in early April.
“Glory” is a bit of a departure from the light tone the band adopted on their earlier video. No dancing painters this time – just identically dressed girls, and some dense, thought-provoking footage. Check it out below.
