Summer hasn’t even arrived yet, but it’s already time to start planning for August. The Melborune Australia quartet, Hiatus Kaiyote, are headed to Philly this on 8/15 for a show at The Troc. Tickets for the all ages show are on sale now, so grab those while you can. They’ll be bringing along legendary DJ Rich Medina as support.
They just released a new EP a few weeks ago titled, Recalibrations Vol.1, which features remixes of songs off of their most recent album, 2015’s Choose Your Weapon. In celebration, they’ll be hitting the road this summer for a few festival gigs, including stops at Lollapalooza, Osheaga Festival, and Outside Lands. Interspersed between those festival dates are a handful of headlining spots including the show here in Philly on August 15th.
Released almost a year ago, Choose You Weapon has been a successful release for the four-piece, earning them a Grammy nom for their track “Breathing Underwater.” It debuted at number 22 on the Australian albums chart.
