Titus Andonicus have announced the release of their new live album, S+@dium Rock: Five Nights At The Opera. The album revisits the band’s sold out string of show’s last year following the release of their album, The Most Lamentable Tragedy.
Following the release of the triple LP, the Jersey band sold out five consecutive shows, one for each act of the opera, at the legendary Shea Stadium in Brooklyn. “It was the first time in NYC history that any band sold out the same DIY venue five nights running,” according to Stereogum.
The A-side to S+@dium Rock revisits some of The Most Lamentable Tragedy standouts in a much more concise form. The B-side offers electric arrangements of the mostly acoustic fifth act of The Most Lamentable Tragedy, and debuts the previously unreleased album outtake “69 Stones.”
S+@dium Rock will be released digitally on August 29th and as a limited-edition 12-inch LP on August 5th.
Along with the announcement of the album, the band announced a tour to go along with it.
