This past September, Ty Segall announced the formation of a new band with FUZZ’s Charles Moothart and Chris Shaw of Ex-Cult. The band would be called GØGGS, and now the trio have now revealed the details of their forthcoming self-titled debut.
The album is set to be released on July 1st.
“GØGGS features contributions from Wand’s Cory Hanson, Vial’s Denee Petracek, and Segall’s frequent collaborator Mikal Cronin.” according to Consequence of Sound.
The album was recorded last summer in LA and took, “three years of planning, thirty days of writing, one week of ripping” to complete, according to a press release.
Along with the album announcement, the band will go on a short tour. The dates include two shows in LA on July 15th and 16th for In The Records 25th anniversary party.
The band also released a track off the album titled “Glendale Junkyard.” You can hear the song below and expect what to hear from the rest of the album.
