Angry Angles have released a new video for their track: “Things Are Moving”. The track was re-finished for their upcoming album. It will be a self-titled retrospective album featuring their seven-teen studio recordings. The album will be released on May 20th via Goner Records.
The video for “Things Are Moving” was created by 9ris 9ris a New Orleans based video artist said Pitchfork. It features footage from 2006’s Blackout Fest in Chicago and 2005’s Bam!Fest in Taun. There are GIFS included as well featuring Nlite, Kenaim, artoftheglitch, Contac and juanhache.
The Angry Angles was comprised of Jay Reatard and Alix Brown who were dating at the time. Sooner than later the romance fizzled and the band fizzled and as a result few songs were released.
Jay went on to release his own music, and did well for himself, releasing more songs than most artist do in their lifetime. However, in 2009 before his 30th birthday Jay died tragically in his sleep.
In Memorium to Jay and the music that he took part in, this album was brought together. The album will include never before heard tracks such as “Can’t Do It Anymore,” “All the Same,” and “Set in Stone.” It will also features covers from the Wire’s “The 15th,” Devo’s “Blockhead,” and the Urinals “Black Hole.”
