WATCH: The Raveonettes Release New Video For “Junko Ozawa”

Yesterday the Raveonettes have released a new video for their song “Junko Ozawa” named after the female game composer. Junko Ozawa created Rolling Thunder, The Tower Of Druaga and more.

The video is part of their ant-album project called  RAVE-SOUND-OF-THE-MONTH. It is their fourth song to be added to the playlist that is updated on a monthly basis. Every last Friday of the month the band adds a new track and “Junko Ozawa” is their fourth. The project will go on through December, making a total of 12 tracks on the playlist. You can subscribe to their RAVE-SOUND-OF-THE-MONTH playlist here.

Their inspiration behind the entire making of the album was to break the binds of the album-making format for themselves.

Sune Rose Wagner shared a little more about how they did that: “I wanted to keep all the instrumentation in the 8-12 bit range, only using low bit synths and sounds. Even the guitars have been re-sampled and played on a synth…Cool, uptempo shit!…”

Songs they have released so far on the playlist include: “The World is Empty (Without You)”,  “Run Mascara Run”, and “Excuses”.
