Singer-songwriter Bonnie “Prince” Billy has just released a new song entitled “Most People.” The song is part of new compilation album for the organization Migrant Offshore Aid Station.
The song maintains Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s trademark Americana folk indie sound. The soft acoustic guitar gently cushions Bonnie “Prince” Billy’s baritone voice.
The song is one of several songs from the compilation album Refugee. The album is in support of the Migrant Offshore Aid Station organization based in Malta, which aims to help migrants and refugees in distress.
The charity album was organized by Robin Adams, the Scottish singer songwriter. In addition to Bonnie “Prince” Billy, the album features songs by Richard Dawson, Alasdair Roberts, Rick Redbeard, Linda Thompson, and Dana Falconberry. Refugee, will be released later this year on June 6th, 2016 via Brainfrog Records.
Bonnie “Prince” Billy was born as Will Oldham in Louisville, Kentucky. At the beginning of his career, Oldham used variations of the name Palace as a stage name such as Palace Brothers and Palace Music. He later adopted the name Bonnie “Prince” Billy in 1998.
