Legendary crossover thrash bad, D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles), are headed to New York City this June 16th to perform at Gramercy Theatre.
That’s right – Houston’s old school crossover band will be hitting the road this spring with support from another veteran crossover thrash band, Sonick Plague. The band announced their full-length US tour earlier this month. The band will hit cities in the West Coast through the month of April, take a break in May and begin their run of dates in the East Coast through mid to late June. Their performances on the East Coast will lead the band up to their performance at Amenesia Rockfest in Canada on June 25th. The band also just released a teaser for their newest EP. Check it out.
One of the best gifts we can have in the music world is a blend of two genres to make one elite sound. Well, that is exactly what D.R.I. is known for. The band is a pioneer in crossover thrash which is a blend of thrash metal, hardcore and punk rock; making it the ultimate diamond in the rough in terms of sub-genres. Check out their song, Abduction.
Tickets for D.R.I. at Gramercy Theatre on June 16th are on sale now for $20. Tickets went on sale last week so don’t wait too long – this is a classic show you’re not going to want to miss.
