Fear of Men have just released a new track titled “Trauma” off of their upcoming album, Fall Forever.
Brighton, UK’s Fear of Men have just shared a brand new track off of their second full-length album, Fall Forever, and it’s titled “Trauma.” The new track is just a taste of the intricate and extensive work that the group has put into this new project that, according to the press release, has taken them to “alien” places. “Trauma” is the second release off of the upcoming album right after “Island” that received great critical acclaim upon its release. The new track can be streamed below.
Jessica Weiss spoke to Noisey, and told them “Trauma” is “the undefinable anxiety and damage that all of us suffer at some point at the hands of another. It’s how we deal with it that defines us…To me, dealing with trauma is not about looking back, it’s about taking that experience and putting it under your own control, letting it become a part of you.” For her, the song is about “empowerment through taking control.” After reading this description and listening to the track this feeling is absolutely evident though out. With the chorus saying “You give me drama//You give me more than I can bare//I rise above you//I burn my body” the emotion can be felt the entire time Jessica Weiss sings.
The new album is going to be a significant difference from the band’s debut back 2014, Loom, that was received very well upon its release. Fall Forever will say good bye to the band’s three-piece composition of Jessica Weiss, Daniel Falvey and Michael Miles and say hello to the group pushing the limits on their instruments to adopt something entirely new.
Fall Forever is available now for pre-order but won’t be released until June 3 via Kanine Records.
