Coming to New York City this summer is alternative country musician, Ryan Adams, who will be performing at the Central Park SummerStage this July 20th
The veteran country rock artist announced a list of summer tour dates earlier this year but it wasn’t until earlier this month he announced his performance in Central Park. The 41-year-old singer from Jacksonville, North Carolina began his career in the band, Whiskeytown, until he moved onto his solo career in 2000. His first solo record, Heartbreaker, shook the country music world and is considered to be his most successful record. A deluxe edition of Heartbreaker is set to be released this May and it would come as no surprise if Adams plays a variety of hits from the record on his upcoming tour.
Ryan Adams came back into the public eye last year when he recorded a cover album of Taylor Sift’s critically acclaimed record, 1989. Country music superstar, Taylor Swift, was beyond ecstatic when Adams announced he would be covering the record. Upon being released, the record appeared at number 7 on the US Billboard 200 and has become an overwhelming success.
