YouTube Will Provide First Weekend Live Stream Of Select Coachella 2016 Acts

There are a lot of reasons folks are not able to make it to Coachella. It might be the extreme heat, the lofty ticket prices or the disinterest in fighting thousand-plus size crowds to catch your favorite acts. No matter what the reason for your absence, if you are unable to make the first weekend of the music festival that does not mean you have to miss the performances.

Youtube is teaming up with Unleashed by T-Mobile to bring the world exclusive live streams of select performances on Coachella’s first weekend, April 15-17. This marks the sixth straight year that the video streaming pioneer will present this service. Not only will you be able to view the performances on the standard desktop site, the Youtube App will also provide this streaming service. Essentially, any screen where you can watch Youtube, you will be able to catch this exclusive live stream.

Interacting with this video stream is the Coachella Youtube channel, which offers several new features. Users can select from three streaming channels as well as a video on-demand hub that provides highlights and other footage throughout the entire weekend. CoachellaLive.com provides this service for mobile users. Additionally, an interactive personalized schedule can be adjusted so the program shows you the artists and performances that matter most to you. Finally, the social feed for the Coachella YouTube Channel will be posting top moments and highlights from the festival throughout the weekend.

As to which performers will be live streamed by Youtube, that announcement will come soon. For now you can subscribe to the Coachella Youtube channel and relive past festival glories.
