California Deathfest has just announced the lineup for their 2016 event. Some notable performances include American thrash metal band Nuclear Assault, Mexican-American extreme metal band Brujeria, and American grindcore group Agoraphobic Nosebleed.
The California Deathfest is an offshoot of the original Maryland Deathfest that debuted in 1996. Similar to Maryland Deathfest, California Deathfest aims to feature the best extreme metal bands. This year, the festival is host to a number of great acts such as Brujeria, Hemdale and Birdflesh, among many more.
Brujeria, one of the big headliners of the event, is a performance not to be missed. The Mexican-American, Los Angeles-based band started in 1989 is a crowd favorite. The band has had several members in rotation throughout the years, but its current members include Juan Brujo, Pat Hoed, Jeff Walker, Shane Embury, and Adrian Erlandsson.
The music festival will be held in Oakland, California at the Oakland Metro Operahouse. It will take place this fall on October 14th, 15th and 16th, 2016.
