WATCH: Baroness Release New Video For “Shock Me”

Baroness has just released a new video for their track, “Shock Me.”

The Georgia native heavy metal band, Baroness, have couple big developments for their fans. They have just released a new video for their track “Shock Me” and they will be kicking off a five-week North American tour. The new video was filmed in a Pennsylvania and brings to life a number of elements from the signature incredible artworks that Baroness albums have become so recognized with. The video was directed by Don Tyler and John Baizley. The video has its own separate art director as well named Karen Jerzyk. The video can be seen below.

While the video is contextually simplistic it is visually captivating and flows with the song’s lyrics and composition seamlessly. The vide revolves around two women that share an indescribable relationship with on another. They seem to take turns in superior stances over one another in unique and dark outfit changes. It looks as if each girl plays a sort of dark angel toward the other in different settings.

Aside from the video’s release, Baroness has named the openers for their highly-anticipated upcoming tour. These openers will be Youth Code, who will assist on all non-festival U.S. dates, Mutoid Man, who will open he shows in Easter Canada, and lastly Heiress, who will perform on the Western Canada dates.
The tour, which includes stops at the Sasquatch, Project Pabst and Shaky Knees festivals, kicks off on April 29 at the Royale in Boston before wrapping up at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on June 3. The band has also been confirmed for Psycho Las Vegas on Aug. 28. A full list of tour dates can be found below.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
