Post-rock/experimental band, Explosions in the Sky, are about to embark a world tour and will be wrapping it up with two New York City performances on September 22nd and 23rd.
The band will be going on tour in support of their newest record, The Wilderness, that came out on April 1st. This will be the fifth full-length release by the veteran rock band who had been due for a new album for quite some time. It has been five years since their previous record, Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, that has received generally positive reviews and ultimately reached No. 16 on the US Billboard Chart. Their newest record is on track to do even better. Check out their hit single from The Wilderness, Disintegration Anxiety.
Explosions in the Sky came to New York City late last year to play Madison Square Garden in support of a Death Cab For Cutie tour. Their upcoming tour will bring them to New York City two nights in a row but will be held at two different venues. The first night on September 22nd, the band will be performing at Terminal 5 in Manhattan. On the 23rd, they will perform at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.
Tickets for Explosions in the Sky at Terminal 5 and Kings Theatre have not gone on sale yet but will go on general sale this Friday, April 8th. The pre-sale has already begun so don’t hold off! Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster for $35 for both performances at 10 am.
