WATCH: Big Grams Releases New Video For “Drum Machine” Featuring Skrillex

In the fall of 2015, cross-genre project Big Grams emerged after Outkast’s Big Boi accidently discovered Phantogram on when hearing “Mouthful of Diamonds” on a pop-up advertisement. Big Boi shared the song and opened communications between the two parties that led to Big Grams. Since starting the collaboration, the trio has released a self-titled debut album and segment on Adult Swim’s “Off The Air” featuring Big Grams in a trippy escapade across a blighted city, serving unofficially as a video to “Born To Shine” (with Run The Jewels) and “Run For Your Life.” Now, Big Grams has shared their new Drum Machine Remixes EP and the official video for their song, featuring Skrillex.
The clip follows a set of costume animals as they troll their way through Los Angeles. Towards the end of the video, on the dancefloor of a club, the three animals are revealed to be Skrillex and the members of the band – Big Boi, Josh Carter, and Sarah Barthel. The video is Directed by Bryan Barber, who has previously worked closely with Outkast (“Hey Ya”, “So Fresh, So Clean”, “The Way You Move”, ‘International Player’s Anthem”).

Today, Big Grams released five different mixes of the song, featuring remixes from Chris Lake, Slaptop, Fareoh, Melé and Naderi, available to stream or purchase. Each song has its own unique vibe and will appeal to fans with different tastes.

The band visited a slew of late-night shows and ended 2015 with a sold-out New York show. This summer, the trio will take their act on the festival circuit, including stops at Governor’s Ball, Hangout Festival, Sasquatch Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, among others.
