Cassius Announces New Album Ibifornia For June 2016 Release

The French Electronic duo, Cassius, has just announced the release date for their new album Ibifornia. The new album will be released June 24, 2016 via Interscope/Polydor Records.

This will be Cassius’ first new release in over 10 years, and the duo are back at it again. This time, the pair return with even bigger hits and notable guest features. Some of the guests featured on the new album include Mike D, Cat Power, Portugal. The Man’s John Gourley, and Pharrell Williams among various others.

Two songs from the forthcoming album have already been released. These songs include “Go Up” which features Pharrell Williams and Cat Power, and “The Missing” featuring Ryan Tedder and Jaw. Check out “The Missing” below.

Cassius hails from Paris, France and is made up of Philippe Cerboneschi and Hubert Blanc-Francard, also known as Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass, respectively. The two began their musical journey together in 1988, and since then have released several albums. In total, Cassius has released about 5 studio albums and a few other EPs.

In addition to their new album, Cassius will also be hitting the road and touring. Among these dates include appearances at Rock En Seine and Pukkelpop.
