Honus Honus Of Man Man Announces New Album Use Your Delusion

Honus Honus has just announced his first solo album and first musical release since 2013’s On Oni Pond. Though the album doesn’t have an official name or release date yet, there is lot coming together to make the album work. Many famous musicians, actors, and comedians have come together to collaborate musically in what he calls a “apocalyptic LA pop album.”

Some of the artists taking part in this project include: drummer Joe Plummer, who is a member of Honus’ band Mister Heavenly as well as Modest Mouse and The Shins. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Actress) and Shannon Shaw (Shannon & the Clams) have been featured as guest vocals, and Jon Daly (comedian from Comedy Central’s sketch “The Kroll Show”)  has contributed on the saxophone. Cyrus Ghahremani, with formal name King Cyrus King produced the album.

Honus Honus, told Pitchfork about all that the band is doing to get the album off the ground. In order to fund the next album he has started a fundraiser better know as a Pledge Music campaign featuring a trailer for the new music on the way. For fans who donate to the cause, they will receive special new band gear including handwritten music sheets, autographed piano keys, personalized ringtones, a unique denim jacket, and tickets to a house show performed by the whole band.

When asked about the ringtone option Honus said “I’d recommend the ‘Honus screaming like a maniac option.'” said Pitchfork.
