Reggae/dub-rock band, Slightly Stoopid, recently announced that they will be coming to The Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk this July 23rd.
The beach bum band from California announced their annual summer tour in February but it wasn’t until two weeks ago the band added their anticipated Brooklyn performance at Coney Island. This year’s tour, The Return of the Red Eye Tour, will be in support of the band’s latest record, Meanwhile… Back At The Lab, that came out in June last year. Check out their song, The Prophet, that also appeared on their debut 1996 album, Slightly $toopid.
The Return of the Red Eye tour will also feature support from Virginia’s Grammy-nominated reggae band, SOJA. This isn’t the first time these two have hit the road together. In summer 2012, the two bands were featured on the Unity Tour with 311. The bands most recent record, Amid The Noise And Haste, came out in 2014 and was also nominated for Best Reggae Album. Check out their song, Tear It Down.
