Northern Invasion Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring Lamb Of God, Ghost And Babymetal

The Northern Invasion festival has just released their second year’s lineup with headliners such as Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Korn and Shinedown.

It isn’t going to be easy to top Northern Invasion’s first year debut numbers of 25,000 attending fans but their lineup announcement has just made it seem very possible. With their top billers being acts like Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Korn and Shinedown the festival is shaping up to have an explosive second year. Disturbed’s cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Sound of Silence” swarming the radio and Shinedown’s “Cut the Chord” there is lot of new material from all of these veteran headliners. The under billing for the festival is also full of names that are well worth mention. Long time rocker, Nikki Sixx’s band, Sixx:AM will be in attendance along with Seether, Sevendust, Pop Evil and swedish metal rockers Ghost. “Year one of Northern Invasion was everything we hoped it would be, and then some,” said Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the festival for AEG Live. “The incredible rock fans of the upper Midwest came out in full force, and the response was so overwhelmingly positive that we just had to expand! We’ve got two full days in 2016 with over 40 bands, more stages, more camping, new VIP amenities, and an upgraded food experience. This is turning into something really special up North, and we’ve got the loyal rock audience to thank for it.”

Chevelle’s Sam Loeffler said, “We are super excited to play Northern Invasion 2016! Be prepared! We’re going to rock new Chevelle songs from the upcoming release and, of course, play the fan favorites.”
