TheFader.com is reporting that Jason Chung, or better know by his producer name Nosaj Thing, has announced that on April 8th he plans to release his new studio EP No Reality via Innovative Leasure. The popular American record producer, who has produced tracks for artist such as Busdriver, Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, and most recently, Chance the Rapper, is looking to make this new album another strong addition to his already critically acclaimed work. This new production is following his most recent album Fated which was released in May, 2015.
When Nosaj was asked about his upcoming work he said in a press release “This record is for my friends and everyone that has been supporting me over the years. Since I finished three albums that were more about my personal life, it was time to make something to give back. Most of these songs are new and were written within the last two months. I wrote one of the songs all on my iPad and arranged and mixed 3 of the songs the morning it was due to mastering — lots of quick changes and decisions were made. I’m not trying to over think these days and just find balance.”
Nosaj brings interesting beats and hypnotizing synths on the keys to help his audio-visual art come through. The artist has released the 5-track EP that also includes a preview for one of the new tracks, which features a black screen with the title “N O R E A L I T Y” floating and changing colors to the music, as well as released the concept art for his work.
With shows occurring over April throughout California, as well as a show in New York, this new album will help set the stage for his upcoming visual performances.
