If you haven’t heard yet, American alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins have been playing music together again in the first time in over a decade, and now they seem to be creating new music together too, once again. Billy Corgan, frontman of the band, recently debuted a new acoustic song from the band. He played it for VIP attenders of a concert. The song is currently untitled. Listen to the new track below:

Just a few days ago, The Smashing Pumpkins started off their tour along with American alternative rock singer-songwriter Liz Phair. They will be making several stops across the U.S. until May 1st, where they will end the tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. During show in Los Angeles just a few days ago, three quarters of The Smashing Pumpkins were reunited when original guitarist James Iha joined the band onstage to play a few songs. The only original member that was missing was D’arcy Wretzky, the original bassist. This was the first time Iha had performed with The Smashing Pumpkins in 16 years, after he left the band back in 2000. The band, however, continued to release new music despite his absence.

The Smashing Pumpkins is currently working on an ongoing studio album cycle called Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, a project started in late 2009 by Corgan. It is a 44-song concept album. The latest release of it was Monuments to an Elegy, released in 2014. It actually became their lowest-charting album since their debut album Gish in 1991. To continue their Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project, the band plans to release another album sometime this year, though the official release date is yet to be known.
