Experimental country/folk/rock band Blitzen Trapper has announced their tour dates for this summer. Their tour will run through the Midwest and Canada, starting on May 27th in Georgia and ending in Montana on July 8th. The tour is to promote their latest album All Across This Land, released last October. The album received fantastic reviews from critics. If you want to read a more detailed review, find one here.
To precede the tour, Blitzen Trapper will be releasing their second album, Field Rexx, in celebration of Record Store Day. This will be the first time the album will be available on vinyl, and it will also feature three previously unreleased bonus tracks with a free download code. Field Rexx was originally self-released in 2005 on CD. This album was regarded as incredibly diverse and is acclaimed by critics for this reason.
Blitzen Trapper has eight studio albums released so far, their latest one being the previously mentioned All Across This Land. Their self-titled debut album was also reissued on Record Store Day in 2013 as a deluxe version only on vinyl LP. The band also has two live albums, including one recorded in Portland that was released back in 2014. Last December, the band even recorded a new song called “Christmas Is Coming Soon” to benefit the Mercy Corps charity.
