Dope have announced their reunion tour of sorts properly titled the “Die Motherf-ker Die” tour. The band will make nearly 50 stops on this tour.
Dope will start off in San Francisco on September 13 and head north then gradually east before ending back on the west coast.
Although no support for the band has been announced yet, frontman Edsel Dope stated on Loudwire,“We have selected a sick band for our direct support slot… Due to contractional reasons, support for the ‘Die Mother F–ker Die’ reunion tour will be announced at a later date..” He does promise that the pairing is “long overdue.”
The band will consist of Edsel Dope, Acey Slade, Virus, and Racci Shay.
“We are all really excited about this tour! It’s been a long time since Dope has done a full USA tour….The fact that we are able to do this with the Die Mother F–ker Die reunion lineup makes it that much sweeter and more fun for all involved,” said Dope, adding, “We are gonna play the longest sets of the band’s career… 20 plus song sets every night. Several songs from each of our six albums, including brand new tracks from the upcoming studio album, Blood Money, which is due out later this year via eOne Entertainment…”
Their latest album, Blood Money was set for a 2014 release but has continuously been pushed back. It appears now that the album could be finishing up. The band has promised that it will be out in the fall.
