Hatebreed Announce New Album The Concrete Confessional For May 2016 Release

Hatebreed has just announced that they will be releasing a new album: The Concrete Confessional on May 13th, followed by an extensive world tour. The album will be released via Nuclear Blast Entertainment everywhere.

This is Hatebreeds first album since their 2013 The Divinity of Purpose which earned slot #20 on Billboards top 200 albums of the year and #1 on the Hard Rock albums chart. It sold 17,000 copies its first week in the U.S. Though they haven’t released any albums since then, they have continued to perform including an appearance at South By So What!? in 2015.

The Concrete Confessional was recored in Connecticut and produced by Zuess, who has been working with the band for some time now. He has worked with other bands such as Rob Zombie, Suicide Silence and Whitechapel. The album was mixed by Josh Wilber who has worked with bands: Lamb of God and Megadeth. The artwork featured ( see below) was created by Marcelo Vasco who has worked with Slayer.

“I think da Vinci said it best when he said painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen. Marcelo was able to capture a feeling that will accompany our musical and lyrical vision and he put together a striking piece that speaks volumes.” Vocalist Jaimie Jasta explained.

The songs featured on the album are the epitome of heavy metal as they don’t mess around when it comes to expression of sound. The lyrics are relevant to issues of today, not just in our culture but around the world. Some of the topics they cover include: the rise of terrorism, police brutality, moral decay, greed and betrayal, increased divisiveness, and the fading promise of the American Dream said the bands representatives.

Hatebreed released a tour trailer along with their announcements featuring three song clips from the new album and a list of all of the tour dates scrolling by.

Joining them on tour will be bands: Devildriver,  Devil You Know and Act Of Defiance. In celebration of the tour, Hatebreed will be featuring new fan gear such as vinyls, posters, a skull and maces journal, prayer candles, digital downloads and more, that can be found on their website.
