Cult of Luna has just released a new track titled, “The Wreck of S.S. Needle,” that features Julie Christmas.
Swedish post-metal band Cult of Luna has collaborated with Brooklyn-based singer Julie Christmas to bring us a time warping rabbit hole of a song titled, “The Wreck of S.S. Needle.” The track is a lengthy 9 minute and thirty seconds but the time will fly by while you embark on its journey. The track can be streamed in its entirety below.
The new track is part of Cult of Luna’s new album, Mariner that consists of just five different tracks. According to Metal Underground, the entire album is a collaboration between these two highly talented acts that seem to mesh seamlessly into each other. With Cult of Luna’s melodic build up and explosion of power to Christmas’ ability to lull her listener and then ferociously pour her entire soul into the song the new album should be one no the biggest pieces of art released in a long time. The album’s track list can be found below.
