When Cage the Elephant released the tour dates for their Spring Fling Tour, many Philadelphians (myself included) were surprised and disappointed to see that our city didn’t make the cut. Then later, Cage the Elephant released a handful of tour dates with Portugal. the Man, and yet again Philadelphia was missing from the list. But alas, it seems that Cage the Elephant has finally heard our cries because with the most recent set of tour dates, Philly has finally found their show and you can catch Cage the Elephant, Portugal. the Man, and Brocho at The Mann Center this May.
Presale for this one went live today, so if you haven’t already grabbed your tickets, you’ll want to be sure to scoop them up tomorrow during the official on sale, happening at 10am.
Cage the Elephant are, of course, out supporting their newest release Tell Me I’m Pretty. The Dan Auerbach-produced album is the band’s 4th and was released in December of last year. Portugal. the Man on the other hand have not released an album since 2013’s very well-received Evil Friends. But they are currently working on their next release, which is said to be more hip-hop oriented, with appearances by Mike D and Mac Miller in the studio. No actual word yet on when that will be released though. Either way, you’ll definitely want to head to The Mann this May for what is bound to be an epic night of music.
